We are looking for a special educator who wants to be part of the school of the future.

Here you will contribute every day to the development of all students towards educational goals and support colleagues or entire teams. We work primarily for others, but also for each other, and our common goal is to make the school function as well as possible for all students.

Norrstrand School is a 4-9 school where grades 4-6 have their own buildings and playground. Approximately 210 students attend grades 4-6. The school has three parallel classes with a music class in each parallel. The staff at the school is dedicated, and all personnel work towards ensuring that all students feel safe and receive the stimulation and teaching they need.

Responsibilities

As a special educator at Norrstrand School, you will be part of the school's student health team, where collegial learning and collaboration between student health professionals are the focus. Close cooperation between student health, teachers, and other colleagues is a fundamental prerequisite in our work, where students come first.

• You will have close collaboration with school management and participate in the school's development work.
• You will participate in the promoting, preventive, and remedial student health work together with the school's student health team.
• You will have overall responsibility for following up on the work with extra adaptations and special support together with the school's special teachers and other teachers.
• You will guide staff at school and after-school care.
• You will work administratively with investigations, mapping, planning, and documentation regarding individuals and groups of students in need of special support, as well as support teachers in the work with action programs.
• In collaboration with the school's teachers, you will provide support in teaching in whole classes, groups, and individually.
• You are expected to take an active role in the school regarding student health work of a promoting and preventive nature, focusing on accessible learning environments and a language and knowledge-developing approach.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained special educator. Professional experience as a teacher and special educator is an advantage. You can work both organizationally and with individual students or groups.

As a person, we see that you are present, attentive, clear, and organized. You act selflessly and have the ability to create engagement, trust, and participation. We also see that you are structured and work purposefully, as well as being well acquainted with the school's governing documents. At the same time, you are solution-focused and can maintain calm in stressful situations.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
